Drillco is looking for an experienced Senior Supervisor to join our team and support the delivery of our civil construction projects, with opportunities to work across New Energy projects when required.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows construction, leads from the front and takes pride in getting the job done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Standard hours are 40 hours per week, increasing to approximately 45–50 hours when based on a project site. The role involves regular travel and working across projects throughout New Zealand, with periods away from home depending on project requirements.
Job Description
Duties:
Leading and supporting site crews to achieve daily and weekly targets.
Supervising construction activities including civil works, trenching and cable installation.
Providing practical and technical guidance to your team.
Managing productivity, quality, safety and project requirements.
Reading plans, drawings and schedules and ensuring work is delivered correctly.
Leading toolbox talks and ensuring SOPs and safety requirements are followed.
Identifying issues early and working with the Project Team to keep works moving.
Operating machinery and getting hands-on when required.
Skills & Experience:
Proven construction supervision and team leadership experience.
Hands-on civil construction and/or underground cable experience.
Strong practical problem-solving and communication skills.
A strong safety and quality focus.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience.
Full NZ Class 1 licence.(minimum)
Class 2 licence, Wheels and Tracks endorsements, and/or current First Aid. (advantageous not essential)
