Job Description

New Energy are on the hunt for an Electrical Project Manager to lead the charge on our renewable energy projects. If you’re a results-driven leader who thrives in high-energy environments, this is your chance to make an impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive project delivery On Time, In Full, and to Specification (OTIFIS) while ensuring safety, quality, and budget compliance.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, ensuring competency, engagement, and accountability.
  • Oversee all aspects of electrical project execution—from recruitment and training to contractor management and resource allocation.
  • Maintain rigorous health & safety standards, promoting a proactive risk management culture.
  • Ensure workflow efficiency, quality control, and timely completion of electrical scope, including pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Keep stakeholders informed with clear reporting and communication, escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Monitor electrical budgets, control costs, and flag potential overruns.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience managing electrical projects in renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping teams aligned and motivated.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Current NZ EWRB Certification 
  • 5+ Years Project Management experience
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost control).
  • Flexibility to work away from home regularly and for extended periods of time. Travel for work comprises a significant part of this role (90-100% of the time if project is out of residing region).
  • Current Driver's License - Class 1, Full.
