Join the Onga Solar Farm project as the Quality Lead - 45hrs, Mon-Fri, approx. 4-5 months duration
This role is suited for a quality professional looking to step into the renewable construction industry. It is a hands-on, site-based role with a strong focus on being out in the field, checking works, providing practical guidance and making sure quality standards are being met. You’ll work closely with the Project Manager, Quality Improvement Manager, subcontractors and site teams to identify issues early, drive corrective actions and help ensure work is done right the first time.
Job Description
Duties:
Lead site quality and implement the QMP
Oversee mechanical works, materials and quality standards
Manage ITPs, checklists and quality records
Conduct inspections, audits and pre-commissioning checks
Investigate non-conformances and drive corrective actions
Coach site teams and promote a quality-first culture
Work with subcontractors and project teams to resolve quality issues
Ensure work meets project specifications and client requirements
Skills & Experience:
Senior QA/QC construction experience
Leadership or team management experience
Relevant Quality, Engineering, Construction or QA qualification
Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Hands-on mechanical QA/QC experience
Renewable energy experience preferred
Strong communication, computer and QA system skills
Full NZ Class 1 driver licence
Advantageous but not essential: ISO 9001 auditing, trade or machinery experience.
