40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | approx. 5 to 8-month contract duration

About the role

New Energy are looking for a dynamic HR Generalist to hit the ground running on this active project site. While recruitment is wrapping up, there's plenty to do and no two days are the same! 

Job Description

The Human Resources (HR) Lead plays a fundamental role providing a high-quality HR support service to the Project Manager and site team. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, this role is responsible for all day-to-day project HR activities and end-to-end project employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.  

What You'll Do

  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Manage project recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Act as first point of contact for employment-related matters, escalating issues as needed.
  • Support workforce planning to ensure timely resourcing.
  • Oversee project attendance tracking and coordinate accurate payroll processing.
  • Liaise across the project to communicate HR information and support employee engagement.
     

Desired Skills and Experience

What We're Looking for

  • Proven HR experience, including employment relations
  • Certification or degree in HR (desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisation, accuracy, and multitasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Team player with a proactive, “can do” attitude
  • Current Full driver license (required)
  • Well-presented and punctual
